Today I learnt how to use image chef to publish my poems. I learnt how to transfer things from image chef to my blog. I copied the embed code. This is the first time that I have done this. I wrote three poems on image chef - one was on friendship, the other was happy, and the last one was seasons.
I enjoyed using this web 2.0 tool for publishing.

Writing instructions

I have been learning how to write instructions. I watched a Youtube video on how to make an Origami puppy and then I wrote my own instructions. I found it quite difficult to say how to fold the ears so I found a picture from the internet to show how to do this.

Term 2 reflection

This term we wrote goals for us to achieve. Mine were to get faster in basic facts and to type quicker and more accurately. I think I did really well with both goals because I'm doing my basic facts quicker and I'm more accurate with my typing. I think I did pretty well in all my work this term but I can always do better. I definitely feel that I improved my computer skills. My science has improved. I want to work harder in art. Next term I want to remember all of my work so in tests I will get more questions correct. This term I think I put in a good effort. 

Drug Awareness Week

This week was Drug Awareness Week and we have been learning about the the medicines that aren't safe. Mr Ioannou who is a chemist came to talk to us about all the medicines and what not to do. You should never have to much medicines, have the wrong medicines or have any medicines without a parent or guardien helping you especially little kids. On Friday Dr Rane came and told us what to do when someone is unconious. When your in that problem you put the persons hand in the hi position then put their hand on their cheeck. Then you put their leg up and then turn them on their side. After that you check if the person is breathing then put their leg back down.

Narrative Writing

Our class has been learning about narratives. We learnt about the structure of a narrative. A narrative has a title, a orientation, a problem and sequence of events leading up to the resolution. When you have all that in your story then its a narrative. It is good to put adjectives, similes and direct speech in your story to make your story a bit more interesting. I now know how to write a narrative.
This is my story:

Going to the Palmetum

On Thursday the 14th of May we went to visit the Pametum to look at all of the environments. We got into groups and headed off. My group first went to the savanna environment and we saw bamboo trees. After that we went to the lagoon and it was a bit stinky. Then everybody went through the trees and up a hill into the boiling hot desert. There were lots and lots of cacti I nearly pricked myself. It was getting too hot so we looked at our map and walked down a path into the rainforest. There were so many butterflies flying all around us. It was a very pretty place. It was time to go back to the green gate where the bus would be waiting for us. We hopped on the bus and went back to school. I learnt that there are all sorts of different plants and that some are dangerous and some are very safe. I also learnt that every environment is different and that there are not many trees in the desert. We went to the Palmetum to learn more about plants.

We Are Planting a Seed

We have been planting seedlings. Everyone wants their seedling to grow.

When we visited Anzac Park I decided to keep my memories of this visit.

We visited the National Heritage Houses to see how people lived 100 years ago. The houses looked very old. This is a picture of one of some of the things that they used in the olden days.

The end of Term 1 2009

In term one I learnt all about different Australian and Townsville culture. I learnt that you need to make new friends and let people in the game that you're playing. I would like to improve my typing and type quicker and improve my accuracy in typing. I have enjoyed P.A because we learnt some new poems. I found P.E difficult at first but I came through pretty well in the end. I found our hat competition very interesting. I found that Indonesion is a really fun language to learn.

Bullying

I've learnt that bulling is when a bully bullies over and over again. Types of bullying are physical, verbal, threats,lies or rumours and teasing. Also I learnt that bulling can be emotional and hurtful and it makes people sad.
